RingCentral Fax Review 2018, Buying Guide
(Updated: May 2018) Hello, and welcome to our in-depth review of RingCentral Fax. This is a company that has cemented its place among the top fax service providers thanks to advanced features and a superb support team. Over the years RingCentral has evolved as a company that provides a great balance between price and power. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
How Much Does It Cost Per Month?
Let’s start with the plans RingCentral offers. There’s the Fax 500, the Fax 1000 and the Fax 2500. They all include the features offered by RingCentral, but they vary according to the volume of faxing per month. The number refers to the number of faxes you can send and receive per month. If you go over the limits, you’ll have to start paying for an “overage fee”, which is a fee for additional pages you want to fax.
The bigger the plan you choose, the less you’ll end up paying for additional faxes. The trick is to find a plan that fits your needs so you don’t have to worry for these extra fees.
There’s also an additional plan called “Fax Unlimited”, which is perfect for big businesses with heavy fax loads. This plan lets you send and receive unlimited faxes (as long as you follow the “Reasonable use” policies) and includes 2 fax numbers.
The plans start at $9.99 per month or $7.99 if you wish to pay annually and save some money. These are very competitive prices suitable for businesses of all sizes. You can also give the service a try first to see if it is what you are looking. You may be asked to enter your credit card, so it may be billed once the free trial ends. If you don’t to pay anything, just cancel your subscription before the trial period is over.
Send Faxes with Your Email, FaxOut, or Your Phone
RingCentral has nailed the process of sending faxes, and you can tell because you rarely get an issue notification. Faxes can be sent from different sources: using email messages, using your online fax dashboard, or using your cell phone along with RingCentral Fax’s mobile app. You can fax a PDF, DOC, XLS, JPG and plenty of other file formats.
It only takes a couple of minutes to send a fax, and once the process ends, you’ll receive a notification, confirming the delivery of your documents. If the service finds a problem during the sending process, it will automatically retry sending the fax several times (this can be adjusted via the Settings tab on your fax account). There are times when the receiving number is not available, this will be detailed when you receive your confirmation message.
RingCentral’s mobile app does a great job sending faxes, but it is not as powerful as other fax apps in the market. You see, RingCentral has an app that not only take cares of faxing, but also their complete virtual office package. It would be nice to have an app exclusively for faxing to avoid wasting time sorting menus.
Like all fax services, RC automatically forwards faxes to your Gmail and connected devices. They arrive thanks to your virtual dedicated fax line with perfect clarity in a PDF file format, which you can view, save or print according to your needs. It is an easy and convenient way of receiving faxes and the company does a great job at it.
Through their mobile app you can also receive an instant notifications whenever you receive new faxes. From there you can review the fax contents immediately on your phone or later when you log in to your Gmail inbox or RC dashboard. Receiving a fax should not take longer than a minute once the sender has finished with it.
Features for Advanced Users
We’ve already talked about mobile faxing. This is the most interesting feature provided by RC, but there are others you might like to know about, and that will surely make faxing easier than ever before.
These features include the availability of vanity fax numbers, email to fax Google integration, secure technology to make sure all your documents stay private, electronic signature, Microsoft Outlook integration, detailed fax logs and additional options to send and receive faxes.
Of special mention is their newest feature which helps you fax from cloud based services like Google Drive, Box and Dropbox). This company is one of the first ones to put cloud faxing at the service of their users with files accessible from desktop and mobile devices.
Is RingCentral Fax for You?
At just $9.99 per month, RingCentral offers a pretty robust package at an amazing price. Though it is not the only alternative out there, it can be a pretty good choice to if you want a good balance between price and features. Don’t take our word from it though and make sure you give it a try before spending money on a complete package.
