Google My Business API 4.0 Adds Function to Manage Google Posts
Good news for businesses using “Google My Business”, the company has announced an update to the API, and the main feature is the addition of new functions to manage Google Posts.
As you may know, Google My Business is a free tool that any company can use to manage their presence on Google’s search platforms better, making it easier for potential customers to find you and get the information you want to give them.
Google Posts, on the other hand, have been used with success in many industries to share fresh and relevant content for customers with the use of pictures and calls to action, we have used them to share content about the site. They allow you to add content directly on Google that will appear when searching for a company or business, high on the search results.
According to the Google’s announcement: “you can now create Posts on Google directly through the API.” Other minor changes have been detailed in their latest changelog that you can check out here.
So far it has been detailed that this functionality will be available only to businesses that have 10 or fewer locations. In the meantime, Google continues its testing with more locations.
With the announcement of this new features, experts expect the which third-party apps and social platforms include support for Google Posts.
