Last year, RingCentral announced their plans to acquire Glip, a collaboration tool for use in the workplace.

With these news, we were witnessing the expansion of RingCentral, which aims to be a complete solution for business communications. Acquiring Glip also meant that new features would become available for current RC users. It was rumored that the tool will be renamed to RingCentral Teams but it has finally become available as RingCentral Glip, you can check out their official web page here.

Glip caught the attention of RingCentral as one of the leading team collaboration tools in the market. It allows you to do things such as team messaging, file sharing, task sharing and video collaboration from an easy to use interface.

Right now they are offering free accounts with unlimited posts, storage integrations, guest users and up to 500 minutes of shared video chat.

CEO and founder of RingCentral, Vlad Shmunis, said this on their official blog:

“We’re excited to welcome the Glip team to RingCentral. Glip extends our platform by adding powerful team messaging and collaboration services. Together we’ll deliver the industry’s first integrated cloud business communications and team collaboration solution, which will empower teams to work across all locations, devices, and modes of communication.”
